Zirconia corundum (FUSEDZIRCONIAALUMINA) is produced by smelting alumina and zirconia in an electric arc furnace at a temperature above 2000℃. Zirconia corundum has excellent resistance to melt erosion. As a high-grade abrasive, it can be used to manufacture high-performance heavy-duty grinding wheels and has a good grinding effect on steel parts, cast iron parts, heat-resistant steel, and various alloy materials. In addition, zirconia corundum is also a high-grade refractory raw material. It is an ideal material for making high-performance sliding nozzles and immersion nozzles, and can also be used to make zirconia corundum bricks for glass melting furnaces. The main crystal phase of zirconia corundum is α-Al2O3, the secondary crystal phase is zircon, and there is also a small amount of glassy phase. Zirconia corundum is tough in texture, dense in structure, high in strength, good in thermal shock resistance, and generally grayish-brown in color.

The classification of zirconia corundum: According to the content of ZrO2, zirconia corundum is generally divided into low zirconia corundum (ZrO210% – 15%), medium zirconia corundum (ZrO225%) and high zirconia corundum (ZrO240%).
